Putting these words together has given me the greatest pleasure, Emma is one of the best all-round entertainers I have seen.

Emma has a rare talent of being able to gauge her audience, and adjust the content of her gig accordingly whether young soldiers back from a tour of Afghanistan, veterans or residents of a sheltered housing complex. She is a beautiful person with a fabulous personality which grabs an audience and turns the gig into a party.

Emma has been connected with several military associations over the past 8 years, one of which has made her an honarary member. She has sung in Liverpool Cathedral, taking part in the Festival of Nine lessons and Carols backed by a full military band and then singing in cabaret for the Royal Signals Association.

She is well loved by serving and veteran signallers everywhere.

Dr. David Vickers, Chairman, Air Formation Signals Association.

Emma has a smile that lights up a room! A true professional that has a wealth of experience in singing at various events from residential care homes to Cathedrals. With a repertoire that can take you through the eras, songs from yesteryear to present day, she never fails to entertain. She is professional, reliable and a lovely lady who brings warmth to every session, I would strongly recommend her.

If you need cheering up, if your days are long, don't go to the doctors for a pick-me-up, go and see Emma James singing, she should be prescribed on the NHS.

Brilliant artiste and good VFM- value for money!

Ken Dodd.

Emma came to entertain us last week at Earlswood, our sheltered scheme.

She is a very professional artiste with an endearing personality. The event was well attended and she really got the party started from the word go.

We were up and dancing as she sang her heart out to the more upbeat numbers.

Her interaction with her audience was tremendous and as her voice soared at the slower ballads many a tear was shed.

Emma is beautiful inside and out and has a fantastic voice and a wonderful personality.

I can highly recommend Emma and look forward to welcoming her back.

Chris Stead,(Chair of Earlswood Community Group).

This vivacious young lady can move an audience with a ballad, and then have them on their feet as she takes them on a journey through the Broadway Shows.

We are happy to recommend Emma who has been entertaining residents at a number of BUPA care homes for many years.

Emma is a glamorous professional who is able to entertain and include every resident in her shows.

The shows are varied and Emma has often tailored them to fit in with special events that we have been holding in the home, from entertaining in the gardens at summer fairs to making someone feel very special on their birthday.

Emma is always reliable and brings lots of smiles and happiness to our residents.

Carol Lowther, BUPA.

Emma will always top my list for any corporate event at OCS group.

Peter Kingham, OCS Ltd.

Emma has a natural ability to engage and encourage people living with dementia to enjoy her performances, whether they're able to sing along or simply feel the connection with her and the music. Plenty of reminiscences along the way and the conversations that they generate are wonderful to witness. Absolutely joyous; my mum would have loved her.

Barbara Hodkinson MBE  (Founder of The Butterfly Scheme CIC)

We have been entertained by Emma for the past 4 years. She brings to us a ray of sunshine with her delightful voice and lovely personality. The clients love her performances and along with her amazing dresses she is a pleasure to watch. Her songs are popular, and she encourages audience participation. A very popular young lady.

Andrew Edwards, BBC Radio Leeds

For the last 5 years the wonderful Emma James has been coming along and entertaining us at our Scheme events and our 2 Dementia Cafes. She is a fantastic all-round entertainer, and a beautiful person inside and out. She sings to our members as though they are the only one in the room. She lights up the room with her beautiful voice and looks. We have recommended her to lots of other Schemes and Dementia Cafes, and can highly recommend her to sing at any venue or occasion.

On 16th of January, Wharfedale View Extra Care facility in Yeadon had its first big concert. The facility has been open just over a year, and we wanted a big show that would draw lots of attention and would make maximum use of our communal facilities. Emma was highly recommended by Wise, a Wetherby charity. Emma had sung for them the previous year and provided an immensely successful concert. We were delighted when Emma agreed to perform her 1940s tribute for us.

Emma’s organisation was flawless. She visited Wharfedale View well before the concert date to see how her show would work in our communal room. She also listened to our suggestions of how we intended to lay the room out, and how it would be decorated on the night. Emma highlighted where in the room she would be best situated, and asked only for access to a power socket. We made some requests relating to the interval and concert duration. Emma was only too happy to oblige. On the day of the concert Emma arrived in good time, set up her equipment promptly, and the show started spot on time.

The show was fabulous. Not only was Emma’s voice on top form but she also looked the part. She marched the customers down memory lane in her Vera Lynn RAF uniform. Customers waved their arms in unison as they sung along to their favourite songs. We were lucky enough to have students from St Peter and St Paul’s school as guests for the first set. It was wonderful to see people of all ages and backgrounds joining together and celebrating British patriotism as one community. Emma’s interaction with the customers was delightful. She moved through the labyrinth of chairs and tables to interact directly with customers, bringing a mixture of humour and warmth to a spellbound audience. At the end of the concert, after the voluminous applause, Emma stayed and spoke with the customers as coffee and cakes were being served. Customers enthusiastically shared their memories and insights, and voiced their gratitude for a fantastic concert.

Emma’s experience and talent generated a fantastic experience for the customers, and also took a lot of pressure off the staff. With the customers in Emma’s safe hands, staff were free to organise the interval refreshments and after show coffee and cakes. Of course the staff needed little encouragement to join in with the singing and synchronised arm waving.

For several days afterwards, customers were still singing the songs and expressing how much fun the show had been. We are looking forward to inviting Emma back to Wharfedale View to perform her Musicals show. We can say with the greatest confidence that Emma put on a brilliant concert that was greatly enjoyed by all.

Thank you so much Emma.
